Radio Star Forever!

Just came across this video and, man o’ man…I was just a little kid when this was released. My sister had the 45 rpm! But what an awesome song!

Now, whats even more amazing is that the original band members reunited in 2004 to play that song again. The result? Simply AWESOME!! Watch it:

So what ya think?!

Well there ya go. This is the new BitBurn.org Version 11.01 and I sure hope you like the design. Next up, the content. I need to update the content, yes I know. Let me look if I have any more Capital Sound exclusives. How about some naked pictures of your girlfriend? I might have that! Haha!!

And, visit the BitBurn Archives for all the older stuff between January 2007 to December 2009.

Welcome to BitBurn.org v11.0 (BETA, of course)

Well well I am so happy to have returned to a full web hosting so I could install WordPress.org and start fucking around with PHP again! There is no better feeling than to be able to choose the exact WP template you want and customize it to your likened :)

So, before you start wondering where are all the old blog entries, well, they’re not here. That’s mostly because the Export feature at WordPress.com does not seem to export “everything” from WordPress.COM to .Wordpress.ORG. So because of that I decided to start fresh and wipe the slate clean. Why not?!

This is version 11 of BitBurn.org and is still in BETA since I am not sure about this theme. Well, we’ll see. Please visit the BitBurn Archives for all the older stuff between January 2007 to December 2009. It will remain online.

BitBurn.org in transition

Just so you know all I am currently working on the migration of this site. Yes, I am going back to WordPress.org baby, with complete hosting, so what you see right now is a bit screwed up so bare with me aiight!? All posts between July and December ’09 haven’t be imported here and I am not sure why. However, you can still access them here: http://bitburn.wordpress.com

Best Songs & Films of the Decade

OK so before I get started with this I want you to know that the following are only my personal favorite and not the best of the Oscars or MTV Awards. This is purely based on how I feel (and how I felt) when I hear these songs and see these flicks and what they mean to me. And, of course, it is extremely difficult to compress 10 years in a top 10! I also believe that the last 10 years have brought us the best movies ever. I also have discovered some incredible bands and performers. So here we go…

My Top 10 Songs of the Decade:

10- Carbon (Tori Amos)
09- Roll it up (The Crystal Method)
08- Beautiful Burnout (Underworld)
07- Breaking the Habit (Linkin Park)
06- Comfortable Liar (Chevelle)
05- Crush (Paul Van Dyk)
04- All I Need (Radiohead)
03- Falling Slowly (Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova)
02- Yellow (Coldplay)
01- Avalanche (Matthew Good)

My Top 10 Movies of the Decade:

10- District 9
09- King of Kong
08- The Bourne Identity
07- Gladiator
06- Idiocracy
05- Signs
04- Wall-E
03- Zeitgeist Addendum
02- Cast Away
01- Lords of the Ring Trilogy

Obviously, there are so many others that I would need to create a Top 100 and still compress twenty more songs and movies inside a top 10 because that is how much good stuff there is, it’s just crazy! Still, the above songs and movies certainly deserve to be there, for me anyway. So cheers & Happy Holidays!

Vision Deity

As I sit and drink my cup of hot chocolate tonight I am standing in awe at the shear beauty of nothing; the simplicity of nothing, here, sitting in the living room, I breathe, I pause a second, I think, I smile at the great gig in the sky…to the sound of nothing (or a Pink Floyd song, hehe!)

Never before has nothing been something to me. I am a stressed individual. I work a nice job but with crappy hours…9 to 5. That means I am always in the traffic, morning and evening and I fucking hate it and hate everybody in my path.

So, when I have a minute, like this one where I can write shit that so very few of you read (according to the site stats) I get happily happy for no particular reason. Happiness, what a tricky bugger that is. But I believe being ‘happy enough’ – I like the way that sounds. Because there is no such thing as being super happy. There’s happy moments but super happy all the time does not exist. What does exist however is ‘right now’ and right now I am happy enough.

Vision, deity, foam in the bathtub, sprinkles. Little noise.

Mac vs. PC…again!

OK so I have been using Windows 7 for quite a few months now, installed on a custom-built PC I have. It’s nice but it is nothing compared to the smoothness, simplicity and stability of Mac OS X…running on a MacBook or Mac mini, which are the two machines I own. Come to think of it, it doesn’t even come close. And, the thing is, it’s not that W7 sucks or anything like that. It’s the computer experience that is simply unmatchable here. I have never own a Windows PC or laptop that was as amazing to use as a Mac. So, comparing the OS alone, meaning Windows 7 vs. Mac OS X is just unfair. It’s the “computer experience” that we should always discuss, not just the OS, aiight folks?
