Background Info
I play guitar, bass, keyboards and been trying real hard
to sing for the past 20 years! I have brutally succeeded in
a few projects and at karaoke bars. But one day I'll be the
world's greatest dummer... I mean drummer!
I find
playing and listening to music fun and relaxing. I tried to
make a living of it back in 1994. The band I was part of,
Capital Sound, won a Juno Award in 1995 and we really
believed it. Wow! In 1996 we produced a 2nd record but it
didn't really work as well as the first one. So we pulled
the plug and decided to focus on other things. I chose a
career in Information Technology.
But, in the
year 2000 I roused back with yet another electronic music
project called
BlueTonicWorld and this one went straight to #1 in the
electronic chart of mp3.com and #4 on the global chart, up
against Madonna and Korn! Over 1.3 million downloads so far!
I was proud to be part of the Mp3 explosion. Ironically,
when you don't take yourself too seriously things work out
great.

Reviews
If I like a lot it's 5 stars / If I don't like it's 1
star...duh!
David
Gilmour "On
An Island"

Does it sound like Floyd? Well, of course. So, is that
surprising? Not at all and quite welcomed to say the least!
It is a very beautiful album, very enjoyable and very well
crafted. Don't expect any big surprises; the man has nothing
to prove here. Who you think will enter the legend? Sean
Paul or David Gilmour? Duh!!!!
Depeche Mode "Playing the Angel"

Needless to say, these ol'farts still have a few new tricks
under their sleeves! From the first 3 seconds you can tell
they're back with a vengeance! The sound is raw, intense but
yet underneath all these analog synth layers of cool dirty
licks you still find that goody deep and distinctive DM
melodies that never cease to please us! Wonderful!
Definitely their best since 1993's Songs of Faith &
Devotion.
BT "Emotional Technology"

I must say, I love the way this guy produces music with
such quality and detail. On this new album, he truly pushes
the limits; every measures and beats are crafted with such
precision it's scary! But there's a slight problem though:
The songs are not that good. I mean, incredible production
is one thing but where's the beef? Where's the magic in the
songs itself? I really did enjoy one track and it's called
"The Force of Gravity".
System Of A Down "Mesmerize"

Once in a while there comes an album that's got that
edge over all the competition; Daring, fresh, and cleverly
smart. That album "Mesmerize" from System of A Down is one
of those albums. And that's why it deserved BitBurn.org's
five stars! It's brutal, raw and fun to listen too cuz
it's so freakin' retarded! I love it.
Foo Fighters "In Your Honor"

Man o' man I love that song "Best of you"! Best rock
song I've heard in a long time. But, like every other Foo
album released before, there's only 3 good songs! And those
songs are "No way back", "Best of you" and "Over and out".
So that's disappointing for a double-disc package.
Coldplay "X & Y"

Well, here it is, the new album we've all been waiting
for! You know, Kelefa Sanneh of Rolling Stones Magazine said
it all and exactly using terms I'm not smart enough to come
up with! ;-) But my feeling is the same and results as
follow: It's great, but that's all it is; great and nothing
more. A surprising number of songs here just never take
flight. Maybe I was expecting too much. To me, it sounds
like a band that didn't know exactly where to go.
Perhaps they should have waited another year before
releasing a new album.
Nine Inch Nails "With Teeth"

I was not too surprised when I heard this album for the
first time. And that's a good thing actually. Just like any
previous NIN release, this one is avant-gardism as well. Reznor hasn't lost his touch in creating original music as
both his writing style and sound proves it.
Nonetheless, there's a bleakness that I can't run away from;
some tracks are simply too mind-numbing for me.
Dirty Vegas "One"

Exactly what I rate this album: One star. What the f....?!!
You know, if I want to listen to pop-rock I'll play U2 or
Coldplay because at least that's what those guys are good
and known for. But what in the name of hell is this? Where's
that groovy house beat; the cool laid-back synthesizers; the
awesome and thick bass line? There's nothing here but an
attempt to be like every pop artist but worse, to be a bad
pop-artist: dull, unoriginal, monotonous, and not a sign of
life...not one sign of the Dirty Vegas I once knew. |
