The Apple iPad

Like many of you gadget lovers I followed Apple’s keynote today for the presentation of the mystery device called…iPad. So, first off, what in the name of gawd were they thinking with the name “iPad” ?! It’s just terrible. Oh and the Apple iPad was previously released in 2007 for woman only!! Don’t believe me? Watch here

Second off, a lot of people complains that there aren’t any HDMI, USB and so fourth. That is a bummer indeed (although there supposed to be separate connectors included in the box), but what really annoys the hell outta me is that there is no file manager, no home folder, thanks to iPhone OS because, no, unfortunately it’s not running Mac OS X. That’s a bit sucky. So, it really is more like a giant iPod Touch than a MacBook “Lite”. Either way, I will give this thing a try when its released in the spring and see for myself.

Updated February 1: OK I have carefully watched Steve Jobs keynote again and been reading about articles all over the websphere and realized something: Many many people are totally missing the point on what iPad is about I think. I think Apple may have hit a home run!

Apart for maybe missing a web-cam, this thing has a bright future lying ahead. Think what it can do for publishers (paper journal, magazines, books), doctors, schools, the service sector, etc, etc. It’s nuts! I get it, this thing is not for IT managers, power users and computer geeks. It’s for people doing real work in the real world. It’s for my parents who were always scared to use a mouse and a computer! It’s for the casual folks sitting on the couch and reading a book on Sunday afternoon. It is the easiest and fastest way to get on the web!

For years we have been hearing about how computers have evolved and are much “easier to use” than ever but that’s bullshit, they’re not! People still have to deal with anti-virus software, drivers, reformatting the hard drive, disk cleanup, fragmentation, slow boot time and shut down. My mom and dad don’t want to deal with this shit! They just want to pick the damn thing, press one button and boom they’re in!  No boot delay, no disk managing required or updating video and sound drivers. Nothing. I think iPad will save a lot of people a lot of time and trouble. True ease of use finally for everyone else and that’s why it’ll be a hit. Perhaps not at first, but once the ecosystem settles in it will take off, just like the iPod did has it changed the music industry. With iTunes and the AppStore at the center of it all the iPad will shine, I’m sure.

Oh Canada Movie

My fellow Canadians, take a look at your favorite MP discussing the economic crisis, the Canadian dollar & see how in the name of god we got to be so oblivious if not near-moronic when we elect those retards to run our country.

By the way, the film is low budget, sure, but the film was basically done by a teenager with a cheap camera. The results are simply STUNNING. The film is a real eye-opener and contains  the best footage I have ever seen about our idiots in Ottawa.

Just a small post

Hello Mat! When can we go for lunch so you can buy me lunch. I would like chicken teriyaki please :)

Updated: So I just got off the phone with Mat and it looks like we’ll be going tomorrow instead cuz he’s going with Sheryl today. Although she may be cuter than me I still believe I have seniority since I am older…and wiser, hehe.

Radio Star Forever!

Just came across this video and, man o’ man…I was just a little kid when this was released. My sister had the 45 rpm! But what an awesome song!

Now, whats even more amazing is that the original band members reunited in 2004 to play that song again. The result? Simply AWESOME!! Watch it:

So what ya think?!

Well there ya go. This is the new BitBurn.org Version 11.01 and I sure hope you like the design. Next up, the content. I need to update the content, yes I know. Let me look if I have any more Capital Sound exclusives. How about some naked pictures of your girlfriend? I might have that! Haha!!

Welcome to BitBurn.org v11.0 (BETA, of course)

Well well I am so happy to have returned to a full web hosting so I could install WordPress.org and start fucking around with PHP again! There is no better feeling than to be able to choose the exact WP template you want and customize it to your likened :)

So, before you start wondering where are all the old blog entries, well, they’re not here. That’s mostly because the Export feature at WordPress.com does not seem to export “everything” from WordPress.COM to .Wordpress.ORG. So because of that I decided to start fresh and wipe the slate clean. Why not?!

This is version 11 of BitBurn.org and is still in BETA since I am not sure about this theme. Well, we’ll see. Please visit the BitBurn Archives for all the older stuff between January 2007 to December 2009. It will remain online.

BitBurn.org in transition

Just so you know all I am currently working on the migration of this site. Yes, I am going back to WordPress.org baby, with complete hosting, so what you see right now is a bit screwed up so bare with me aiight!? All posts between July and December ’09 haven’t be imported here and I am not sure why. However, you can still access them here: http://bitburn.wordpress.com
